Conditions of Sales

It is your obligation to read the general conditions included in the supplier's brochure from whom you purchase a service or accommodation. When paying your invoice, you thereby accept all the conditions of the supplier as well as those of LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL, including clauses limiting liability.

When you give us a credit card number, you agree to pay the full amount of your purchase to the credit card issuing company. You will also have to present yourself at the agency to sign an imprint of your card in order to validate your purchase. If you cannot present yourself at the agency, you will need to send us a clear copy of your card (both sides) by fax or e-mail, along with a written statement authorizing our supplier(s) to debit your card from the amount appearing on our invoice. We reserve the right to refuse a credit card payment in certain circumstances.

LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL must be informed immediately of any event that may lead to a claim on your part, including events occurring before departure.

Check with your travel agent if your ticket carries restrictions. This is often the case with special price tickets that do not allow for cancellation, changes, or reimbursement of the amount paid.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. A deposit equivalent to at least 10% of the total invoice, or the amount of deposit requested in the supplier's brochure, is payable at the time of reservation.

2. Total payment is due at least 50 days before departure or immediately, if purchase is made within this time limit. If not paid, the trip could be cancelled without reimbursement of sums already paid and without any possible recourse.

3. LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL reserves the right to charge service fees (see below).

4. LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL has the legal obligation to charge a fee of 3.50$ for each 1 000$ of tourism services, towards the Compensation fund for customers of travel agencies. This fund is administered for your protection by the Office de protection du consommateur.

5. LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL acts as an intermediary between clients and suppliers. In no case, will the agency assume responsibility for services not rendered or not in conformity with the conditions of the brochure, for any event taking place during the trip or for the refusal by a supplier to respect your reservation.

6. In all cases of major unforeseen circumstances, you must pay the extra charges not covered by transportation companies or other suppliers.

INSURANCE

LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL recommends strongly that you purchase a cancellation insurance at the time of initial deposit, as well as insurance coverage for medical treatment and hospital care. If you are not already covered, we also suggest that you purchase adequate insurance to cover theft, accidents or damage to rented vehicles. In no circumstances, will LENNOXVILLE TRAVEL be held responsible for a problem that could have been avoided if you had purchased the proper insurance.

In conformity to Bill 188 on the Distribution of financial products and services, in effect since October 1, 1999, we inform you that we have chosen to recommend insurance products offered by RBC insurance company (formerly Voyageur), even if other similar products exist on the market. RBC is renowned as being responsible and trustworthy with exceptional assistance services world wide and a record of answering promptly to all claims.

In fact, we invite you to compare the coverage offered by RBC with that of other insurance companies. All your personal information (medical or other) is treated according to the confidentiality requested by the Law on the protection of personal information.

The client has a delay of 10 days to cancel an insurance policy. In order to do so, he must send a written notice by registered or certified mail. However, this delay is not valid in cases where the insurer is already 'under the risk', for example, for policies covering trip cancellation.

Charges related to the distribution and issuance of insurance policies, including the agency's operation costs, salaries and employees' continuing formation, as well as transaction fees are included in the cost of insurance. RBC remunerates the agency with a remittance varying between 20 and 44.5% of the cost of insurance before taxes.

AIRPORT CHARGES AND TAXES

Please note that some airports request 'airport improvement taxes', or local taxes (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and others). These charges and taxes are payable at the airport and you may, or may not, be told about them before your departure. Check your travelling documents.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Please have in your possession all your travelling documents. It is your responsibility to check which are the documents you will need to travel: passport, visa or tourist card, vaccination or medical certificate, identity cards with photos, valid birth certificate, notarized letter for a child travelling alone or with one parent, insurance policy, and so on.

Remember that it is forbidden to carry certain objects or goods on board a plane or to import certain products in some countries; moreover, entrance regulations vary from one country to the other. It is your responsibility to verify the rules and documents that apply to your own condition.

Your travel agent will help you establish which documents you will need, but he/she cannot presume what are the specific conditions applicable to your own personal situation.

Do not forget that schedules are subject to changes. It is your responsibility to verify your flight times with the airline before departure and to confirm your flight before your return. In general, airlines recommend to phone approximately 72 hours before flight time. It is highly recommended that you be at the port or the airport way ahead of time: 2-3 hours for a domestic flight, 3-4 hours for an international flight, a flight to the USA or a cruise.

Do not forget your travel insurance!
